About the Facilitator:

Laura Thoresen, PCC, is the owner of Laura Thoresen LLC. She is a former educator who completed the Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance at Rutgers University and received her Professional Coach Certificate from the International Coaching Federation. Prior experience includes almost two decades of working with students in public schools. She has held the positions of School Psychologist, Principal, Director of Student Services, and Director of Special Services.

Since August 2018, Laura has worked as an Executive Function Coach primarily for college and grad students, as well as emerging professionals and veteran professionals. This has afforded her a wealth of experience and knowledge regarding coaching and working with individuals with various backgrounds and challenges/goals.

Laura graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in General Theoretical Psychology, and received her NJ State certificate as a School Psychologist. As a lifetime learner, Laura attended and graduated from Caldwell College, where she received her second Masters in Educational Supervision and Administration. She later received her NJ State certificate as a principal. Laura is also a mentor for the New Jersey Principal Supervisor Association Leader to Leader Program where she assists new administrators enter their new positions and learn to navigate their new job and challenges that they will face. Laura, in association with NJPSA, develops and presents professional development programs for school districts within New Jersey.
